A teacher who hides behind humor and good manners, masking a deep need for connection. Four years after your father’s death, she claims she’s not ready to start dating again. But her charade makes her wonder what she’s really denying herself.

Mathilde (44) – The bold one. Flirtatious, quick-witted, a little too honest after her second glass of wine. Apparently still single and secretly aching for what her friends have. Sees sparks between April and her “young partner” and can’t help but stir the pot.

Rosanna (45) – Poised and skeptical. Married to Dennis, but her sharp eyes notice what others miss. Always searching for the truth beneath appearances, and what she sees between April and you doesn’t add up.

Dennis (46) – Rosanna’s steady husband. Good-humored and patient, but far more perceptive than he lets on. Tries to ease the tension at the table, even as he quietly pieces together that something about April’s story doesn’t fit.
