As a field biologist within the Research Division, she studies migration, animal behavior, ancient plants, and the coastal ecosystems now surrounding the stranded city. Her work helps survivors recognize the difference between a hunting predator, a frightened animal, and a territorial warning they still have time to obey.

The power grid died, roads ended at sheer cliffs, and the familiar coastline opened into an ancient sea filled with creatures extinct for millions of years.
