Chat with Roleplaying Guide and Tips to Enhance your experience! on vFlip
Hello guys! This is a more open thing than a bot itself. I’ve been thinking about making this since I’ve seen a lot of people having plenty of unfavorable experiences. In the end, roleplay as you wish. This is just me summarizing the things I do that help me have nice experiences.
1 – Personas:
This is the top tool LLMs use to help you write your stories. I am aware that the regular indication is to write two or three sentences about you is in place. But if you use LLMs with a bigger context size you can play more with it.
A detailed persona will help LLM to interact with you not just based on the information on the chat but on all of the other things that make your persona be themselves. If you have a simple persona, LLM is prone to drift and assume things about them. For instance:
-
“I’ll bring you that chocolate aberration you like so much” (No Information about deserts)
-
“I’ll bring you some guayaba bread from that Venezuelan bakery you like so much” (Information about deserts provided)
-
She grabbed you’s favorite hoodie (nothing about this)
-
She saw you’s hoodie and left it in its place (you hates when Roleplaying Guide and Tips to Enhance your experience! grabs their hoodie in persona)
The first thing that I’d advise is to have a very clear physical description of your persona. For instance. My OC has tattoos. Gens rarely make non abstract tattoos but I did give a description about them and whenever LLM mentions them, they talk about them with precision. The better you describe your persona, the less you’ll be railroaded by chats that define physical traits.
Likes, dislikes, triggers and preferences are also important to add to a persona. For instance. If you prefer physical touch over acts of service or vice-versa, putting them into your information will help LLM to act as a loving partner or a very close friend without you having to tell them what they have to do for you.
In the shmexy part. Noting your kinks and preferences will also let the LLM know what to aim for. If you have specific preferences, note them you naughty peep!
Something cool about personas is that you can not only make John or Jane Doe, slap a huge futa pee pee and call it a day. You can make yourself whatever you want. A book, a salesperson, an accountant, a singer demi human, a bard from hell, etc. The thing is that you can not only be that, but you can give yourself a little backstory to settle the rules of your persona.
For instance. My main persona was cheated on once and i gave the cheater a name. So whenever I go: “you’re acting like Lisa” Roleplaying Guide and Tips to Enhance your experience! has a very strong reaction to that. Also if your persona has other details, the LLM can run with it. I’ve never felt angry playing, but once a bot told me: “Of course I stole the money, you spend it all on your stupid magic cards” And I was livid, but it helped with the immersion.
Another cool thing from personas is that you can add NPCs to it. Pets, people to help, predetermined relatives or the Justice League to help you out in a pinch.
2 – Style and formatting messages:
The catch is, that LLM work nicely if you’re both writing a story together. So, first message is super important. Taking into account that you have a fleshed-out persona. The first message should insert your character into the narrative. It’s also useful in the sense that the format you use is going to be used by the LLM to reply. Make sure your intro message is as long and thorough as you want the LLM to answer to you.
Also, in the formatting you use, don’t stick to “pls gib me a sex”. Try to go over How the scene looks, how you feels and how they sound. This is how I’d go:
The room was filled with the scent of food. The turkey was freshly out of the oven. As Rita was laying the pecan pie on the table. Paul walked closer to her. His palms were sweaty. It was his first thanksgiving with Rita, the love of his life.
Paul reached out and got close to Rita’s ear. He built confidence and said in a low and husky voice. “Why don’t I do to you the same thing you did to the turkey?” Paul said while wiggling his eyebrows.
There’ you’re setting the mood and providing the LLM an idea of what you’re thinking and what your intent is. Something as small as “you seemed uncomfortable with the situation” can hint the bully to push harder or the protector to jump in. I do recommend longer paragraphs or even the “enhance message” option in the text box.
3 – Tone and story outline:
Part of having a nice experience while roleplaying is to have a feel of the story you’re engaging with. A good tip is trying to outline how you’ll approach the situation at hand. The hero party left? Buy a farm, pull out another party, smash their moms or smash the dragon girl. Problems with your spouse? Get a vacation, try couple’s therapy (this is hilarious). You are a master of a story you will only read, so write in a way that make things make sense, if it does, you can even bypass OOC locks with sheer roleplaying if you come up with a story that makes sense in the scenario given. (I’ve done it with Wyzwun, SumThingz, Yukiprisna, etc)
If the story you’re writing is better and goes with the tone of the scenario, you can have a satisfactory roleplay and the kind of story you wanted to have using that bot as a base.
4 – OOC as help.
This is a simple yet effective tool. Sometimes when I have zero brain power to understand (brain not braining) I ask OOC:
-
I have zero idea on how to start this scenario. Can you give me options?
-
I noticed that you contradicted yourself. Is that intentional?
-
The scene is progressing too fast. Can we adjust?
-
Is that a coded behavior?
-
I don’t like this, Can we skip this scene?
-
I want them to tie me up. Can you make her more aggressive?
I know that it can be immersion breaking but I feel that a little tweak can improve the experience. It can also be used to help LLM remember stuff.
Also, these are special prompts I use after a session: ((OOC: Could you please psychoanalyze you? not the player))
((OOC: pause the rp and give me a bullet point, chronologically ordered list of important plot events up until this message.))
((OOC: review this story in a manner befitting a Goodreads Reviewer))

This is not a rulebook you need to follow. These are just pointers about the things I’ve done that have improved my experience. I hope you find it useful!
