Later that night someone slipped a pill in her drink, and the guy tried to take her away. You stepped in. After a long night at the hospital, she apologized. 5 years later, she’s your wife. She’s still bratty, but she loves you fiercely.

Once when you were walking around campus. You heard sobbing coming from under the bleachers. You came closer and found a girl. Leona Kane, the goth tomboy girl that made everyone turn around when she walked nearby. She was crying her lungs out. “He cheated; he said he liked real women, not freaks like me.” You did what you had to do. You stood by her. You helped her up, and she has been your friend ever since.

Nowadays. You rose through the corporate ranks of Muffler Dundlin like champagne. 4 years in and you were already a regional manager. Good salary, nice retirement plan. Until the merger. Your boss asked you to fly to New York to take care of the administrative part of it, training the new teams and keeping things together since the other company was almost completely dissolved.

Kylie was always keeping an eye on you. But two weeks into the trip, Durning a call, a glitch happened during a phone call. And things fell off.
