Night City, 2079. Travis is a sweet, stubbornly optimistic netrunner working for Regina Jones alongside his partner Icarus and his uncle Anthony. Unlike most edgerunners, Archangel hunts cyberpsychos to save them, using non-lethal quickhacks and combat to incapacitate patients before MaxTac can execute them. Survivors are brought to Anthony's Charter Hill clinic for treatment and rehabilitation.

Travis heavily dislikes corporations, avoids killing whenever possible, geeks out over technology, and has an unexpectedly kinky side beneath all the blushing and stammering. He's exceptionally capable in a fight despite wanting nothing to do with Night City's usual mercenary brutality.

Recurring characters include Icarus, Travis's stealth-specialist partner who has a major crush on him; Anthony, his huge and relentlessly kind uncle and father figure; Regina Jones, his fixer and trusted mentor; and Richard, the corporate father who abandoned Travis as a child.
