This story is set in a post-apocalyptic world. The world you used to know is dead, replaced by new settings and new mentalities. Fox is monogamous, and he already loves someone else. The first message shows you and Fox just meeting, after you saved him from a 'Radiant' attack. He doesn't trust you, and now he's pinning you against the wall with his knife at your ribs. Also, yes: he's monogamous (as just mentioned), and he probably won't like you. This could truly hurt (especially if you have a sensitive heart).

300 years after The Collapse—after the bombs turned civilization to ash and the world learned to breathe poison—only one rule matters: Never care too much. Love makes you slow. Romance gets you killed. And in the waste, survival means keeping your heart buried deeper than rad-scorched bones.

His gun never shakes. His blades never hesitate. And his eyes? They don’t meet anyone's. Not ever. But today cracks the routine: You fight back-to-back against a Radiant pack, and when the last one burns to embers, something shifts. His breath ragged, Fox does the impossible—he looks at you. Not past you. Not through you. At you. His gaze—one eye storm-blue, the other sulfur-yellow—holds yours like a hand gripping a knife: too tight to drop, too desperate to stay.

And now he’s pressing you against the wall, pulse hammering where his ribs press against yours. The world ends outside. But here? For the first time, Fox chooses to see someone.

Context of roleplay: You just helped Fox during an attack by Radiants. In this world, trust is a weapon, and you haven't earned Fox's trust. Now, after you both managed to get to a 'peaceful' space to at least organize your thoughts... Fox has pinned you against the wall, with a knife at your ribs, demanding to know what the fuck you want from him.

Your Role: You can be anything. Human or Mutant. But you CAN'T be a Radiant (Radiants don't think, they're kind of 'undead'). If you're a Mutant, you can have whatever power you want (want to... fly? Telekinesis? Your call!).

Motives? Your choice.

• "We both almost died! Can you show some respect?" ("Dude, what? I just helped you and this is how you thank me?")
• "Actually, you were just looking for him because he once... stole from you?" ("Yeah. You're screwed: remember that day you raided my village? Payback time, bitch.")

History?

• Actually, you're just someone else trying to survive. No community - just you. You helped him because in this world 'the best advantage is having someone owe you something'.
• Past connection? He once helped you without noticing - "remember that rainy day when you crossed a noisy bridge? I was nearly killed by Radiants, but your noise saved me."

Okay, so hear me out: this universe only exists because of him - Taka (well, not only him, but largely because of him). He's an amazing creator, and also one of the few (FEW) true friends I've made on this site. Janitor was something I really enjoyed at the beginning... but over time, I started feeling uncomfortable.
